GROUP VISITS
Group visits to the nursery can be
booked by prior arrangement. These are great! We spend a lot of time preparing
for them. It’s not just the garden – it’s the catering! Usually our
visitors like to wander round the garden first. (We provide our version of sat-nav
…. a hand-drawn map!!) Then they will wander round the sales area. We had a
party of French and Belgian plant fanatics visit us earlier in the season, and
two of them never got to look round the garden, because they couldn’t tear
themselves away from our ‘fantastic selection of
Anyway, usually after the garden and the sales area, our visitors like to come up to the patio, sit down and have either a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of our home-made cakes. We make a selection which may include any of the following: apple, lemon drizzle, chocolate, coffee & walnut, apple & apricot, orange cakes and usually some muffins too. Often there’s a selection of biscuits for non-cake eaters. After that, our visitors stagger off under the weight of cake eaten and, hopefully, plants bought! It’s a lovely way to enjoy one of life’s greatest pleasures – looking at gardens & plants. Oh! And the cake-eating is pretty good too!
